TactX is the successor to TactFOOT, which was developed in 1998 as the first communication software for football coaches. The special thing about TactFOOT was that it didn’t analyse your game or create statistics – it allowed coaches to be the expert and their skills in computing never needed to be beyond the very basic.
UEFA were so impressed with TactFOOT they commissioned its distribution to every national association in their membership with funding via the KIOSK funding programme. This allowed every national association to use TactFOOT within their coach education programme so that throughout Europe the highest level of communication could be adopted and promoted.
TactFOOT was also used by UEFA in several technical study reports following major tournaments like UEFA EURO 2004™, UEFA EURO 2008™ and the UEFA Champions League.
Now, in 2009, the UEFA Training Ground presents a new generation of communication software. TactX retains the benefits of communication and simplicity first seen in TactFOOT but is revolutionary in all other aspects.
